Yesterday, I met with an agent here in town. I spent over an hour there and left with a contract to sign and an offer to teach some workshops periodically. It was really good for me! It felt nice to be validated that I was good at something and had some knowledge I could share with others. Tucson doesn't have much of a film market, but I think that will be good. Hopefully, every now and then I can audition and maybe get cast in a few commercials or whatever is around. Just the idea that there is a possibility of something sometime is exciting. I have friends out in LA where auditioning can be a full time job. And I already have one of those! Maybe this way, I can just get a small break from the kids every once in a while to do something to fulfill a different part of me.
The agent suggested I get new headshots - I knew that was coming- because the hair is too long and too blonde and ... it is too sexy. :) I thought that was really funny. I don't really feel sexy, so it was kinda nice to hear it like that. But, she thought the picture would limit me. That there were other opportunities beside the sexy roles.
Another validation - this one sweeter. I bore my testimony in church a couple of weeks ago. Andrew waved to me from his seat and as I came back down the aisle, the boys said really loudly, " You did it, Mama! Good Job, Mama. " It was so cute. I love them so.

Validation is a great thing! I think that it would be really great for you and that making a commercial would be really fun. Andrew is so sweet-it is nice to have a cheering section!

Thanks for leaving a comment and saying hello. I can't believe your boys are so big now. I always thought Jacob was much younger than Jackson, but I guess they're only six months apart. Congrats on the validation--we all need that now and again.
Hey, I remember you saying you had a hard time and that is actually why I started calling now. It still just surprised me though! Crazy, what do they expect you to do??
About the new place, we couldn't find someone to sublet so we had to let them take over our lease. Bummer, but I am actually glad because I don't think I could have done the swamp cooler thing again. I'm a baby about that. I was so miserable last year and we were only there for August on and that's what it would be again. We are hoping to stay in this place until the end of law school though. It is by the Provo Tabernacle on 200 S and 200 W. They will be finished in June. If you are bored you can check out the website thehuntingtoncondos.com. We got a one story. I can't wait to move in!
I talked to my dr about the HFMD and he said no big deal, so that is good. We are leaving for Vegas on Sat! Crazy! I really hope that you guys can come and visit! I know that you will have a crazy summer too though! I love staying in touch with you through the blogs! I feel like we can "talk" more and I know more about your family and what's going on! Love ya!
