Mother's Day Weekend

On Friday, Andrew's preschool had a program for the end of the year. He was going to sing 'Take Me Out to the Ball Game' with his class. He was so cute practising. He knew all the words and was so excited. I was really excited to see him up there with his class. Then right before we left to go to McDonalds - then the performance, he said, 'Mama, my tummy hurts, I'm sick'. We went to McDonalds anyway, he didn't want to eat - just drank his chocolate milk. Jeremy dropped us off and went to find a parking space. I took him in and helped him get his special shirt and then....
He threw up all over his preschool room. Chocolate milk throw up everywhere. Somehow he did manage to only throw up on the tile. And then he was fine. Happy, not feeling sick. I am not sure, but maybe it was just nerves. Who knows. I asked his teacher if I could stay with him and see if maybe he was okay now and decide later. But they said he needed to go home. I was so mad. I understand that they didn't want to expose the other children, but it felt like no one came in to assess the situation before they decided. I have gotten over it, but I was so sad that we missed that event in his life. It wasn't anyone's fault, but I was still upset.
We left that night for Phoenix and went to spend the weekend with Lynne. Andrew was feeling fine. :) Jeremy and I went to the temple on Saturday morning and it was wonderful. I felt so close to Heavenly Father, like my prayers were so much clearer and closer. We grabbed some lunch at Taco Bell (what a date! we even went through the drive thru) and then took Lynne to get her Mother's Day present. After Jeremy put up the blinds, he took Andrew and Jacob to buy me a present. We had a great dinner and then put the boys to bed.
Mother's Day came bright and early with Michael waking up at five, Jacob at six and Andrew at seven. SO, at seven I asked Jeremy, if I could please sleep in since it was Mother's Day. So, I slept until ten o'clock. It was wonderful. The boys did keep coming in to ask me questions, but I did sleep most of it. :) We went to church at 11- a great time, the boys game me a food processor - Jeremy asked what they liked to do with me and they told him they like to cook with me. So , he took them over to that part of the store and helped them pick something out. They really wanted to give me a red race car and a T Rex Dinosaur. Can you guess who contributed which answers? We had dinner and watched Enchanted. It was a cute movie and fun to watch it with Lynne. Jeremy watched it while he played a computer game, not enough movie to keep him occupied. :) It was a nice day. I am grateful to be a mother to three sweet little boys and to have such a wonderful mother, even if she lives so far away from me.

What a fun Mothers Day! It was fun to chat with you! I am glad you had a fun weekend!

Poor Andrew! That is sad that he didn't get to sing! I can remember something similar happening to me right before a play in 1st grade, but I still got to be the tree in Johnny Apple Seed, haha! That is the only play I have ever been in. I bet you and Jeremy are impressed, right?

Oh so sad for Andrew! Did he perform it for you? You should get it on video and post it so we can all hear his sweet little voice!
Sounds like a wonderful weekend! I am so glad you were able to go to the temple and enjoy your time with Lynne and the boys. A food processor is a nice gift - way to go Jeremy, Andrew and Jacob!
